Services - Program Evaluation

Arrow Consultants conducts policy and survey research and evaluates health and social programs for Federal, state, and local organizations. Our staff design conceptual and analytical frameworks to answer important research questions. Our researchers collect data through community and program observations; interviews and focus groups with key informants in national, state, and community-based organizations as well as program participants and/or community members; and through surveys we design and implement. Arrow Consultants' research incorporates the analyses of data collected by our staff as well as secondary analyses of existing national, state, and local data sets. Through survey research, ethnographic research, strategic and fiscal planning, cost-benefit analyses, and evaluation syntheses, Arrow Consultants has empowered hundreds of agencies and organizations to improve management, promote organizational growth, and enhance program effectiveness.

Our experience includes:

• Evaluations of community-based programs that address drug abuse prevention, employment and economic development, positive youth development, child health, and violence prevention and reduction;

• Analyses of the long- and short-term effects of policy and program alternatives in the areas of health, education, and social services; and

• Development of performance measurement and monitoring systems to help gauge program effectiveness.
